I am currently in gunsmithing school with Penn Foster. I have been looking for a place to do apprentice work but not many places to do it where I am

It's good to have a job you love! It seems like you did mention you loved yours.

I've been considering it for about 3-4 weeks. Any recommendations for either a course in the Monmouth County, NJ area or the better online course?

Master smith apprenticeship. I am class 2 certified. My specialty is custom long-range/hunting. I also do custom work on shotguns, ARS, and m1 variants. Some pistol work is done by me as well.

I highly recommend NOT taking an online course because you don't get the on hands experience as you would at a real school

I completely agree with you. I have b already started and just about finished. Didn't have a local school near me. I am trying to find a place to get some more hands on. Not gonna attempt to open my own place until I get more hands on. Thanks for the advice.

for some of us that's not an option so online coarses are better than nothing and if we're smart enough we find someone willing to help us with the hands on portions or some of us with mechanical applitude find old pos guns and trial and error them back to working ( within reason of coarse)
