Default What it means when a smith says out of time...

That is pretty scary! I wonder how many times the trigger was pulled before the owner figured something was wrong!

From what it sounds like the owner never fired it after the work was done the first time.

The smith did show the bolt handle being "worn" and acting as the recoil lug. Either way, that is so screwed up. Must have been Bubba's brother Snuffy Smith!

Do you mean to say you're NOT supposed to cover the entire bolt head in lapping compound when you lap the lugs in?
