Western Field

I have a client's Western field 20 gauge. I am needing a left extractor. I've tried Numerich and Hoosier. Any idea where I can obtain one?

Gunpartscorp and Brownells

I found this online
"Western Field Firearms is the Montgomery Ward store brand of rifles, pistols or shotguns manufactured by Savage Firearms, Steven Arms, Mossberg & Sons or Remington Firearms. The original manufacturer depends on the model and date it was produced."

Westernfield was also sold by western auto. I had one years ago. I shot it so much the firing pin carrier wore out. The hole where the firing pin comes out of the carrier was egg shaped when I got rid of it. Parts from a mossberg 500 fit right in it. I sold it to my cousin who took the parts out of his 500 to restore the westernfield. It was a very good looking gun. It had pheasants being flushed by a dog engraved on one side and deer engraved on the other side, with a nice beech stock.

sorry John- Westernfield was copyrighted to Montgomery Wards- it was THEIR brand. Western Auto had their own- Revelation. Just as Sears had J C Higgins.

To the OP- if you do not give us a model number, there is no way we can tell you who made the blooming shotgun, or where you can get an extractor- they were made for Monkey Wards by a half dozen different companies.

C3 I bought the westernfield NIB from my uncle that owned a western auto. I am not arguing the point that westernfield wasn't montgomery wards brand. He was very enterprising, I also bought a model 70 winchester and the worst purchase I have ever made, a Remington jammaster, ermm, I mean woodsmaster. Really the jammaster was an inexpensive learning experience. I really wanted a BAR and 2 years later I did buy a BAR.

He could have caught the westernfield on sale to resell in his store or he got it as a closeout/discontinued model.

Its model sb260a. I know it was manufactured by Stevens. Its the same as a Stevens 620a.

Here is some parts on Ebay. They are 12 gauge but the extractor maybe the same.

If not watch Ebay off and on as new parts are listed daily.
Did you call gunparts as sometimes they only a few parts and don't list them in their catalog but will ship if you call them.

Look here and search for 260 - indicates Western Auto 260 - Savage 170 and others.

I bought this Western Field .308 in 1968 from Montgomery Wards and I still love it. Intend to scope it by/for Christmas :)

I contacted Hoosier, they are sold out out the left extractor. Is there a main difference between the 620 and the 620a model? Besides the tang and reciever length? Numrich has a left extractor for the 620.
