stop using hollow points i had the same problem with my p22 as you use the remington thunderbolt ammo. The cci stingers are fun though you should buy some of those they are hot loads and fun to shoot they put a flame out the barrel in broad day light

I use that same Federal in My Mossberg 44US .22LR bolt action rifle and it functions flawlessly.

Use the thunder bolt 22 ammo from remington it works great but hollow points do that. The cci rounds are fun becouse they are hot loads so try those for the hell of it.
