Default Walther/colt 1911-22 sights

I have a customer that has a walther/colt 1911-22 with fixed sights. He wants to change them out for adjustable rear sights. Walther doesnt offer them for this model and a normal 1911 rear sight is shooting about 4" high when the rear sight is all o the way down and a .215 front sight. Has anyone put new sights on this gun? Or can anyone give me some advice on what i can do? Thank you

Umarex is the importer for this pistol. Call or email them for the OEM Colt/Walther/Umarex part; which is one route to go with this problem since Umarex not Walther is where you get the part from (since you spoke of going OEM). The Gold Cup model is the one that has the target rear sight which is adjustable.

This is the time to concentrate on the front sight. If you can replace it, I would suggest checking out Brownells.

If it is not replaceable, consider "building" it up then doing some machine work.

I did call walther and the dovetails are different. The gold cup rear dovetail is smaller then the standard model
