Default Type 26 Japanese Revolver Restoration.

I call out to all the learned folks on this forum!!

I have a Type 29 Japanese Revolver that rust has sunk its teeth into and I need to take it apart to get it all.

Does anyone here know how to do that?

I have spent the better part of an hour staring at it trying to see if I could figure out how to do it with tearing it up.

HELP!!!

Thank you for your attention.

I know I'm good, but my vision is starting to go.

Could you post a couple of pics?

Default Type 26 Revolver.

Here are the pictures that I should have posted to start with. I used the wrong Type designation in the first post and did not catch it until now. It is a Type 26 Revolver.

Well--I'm no huge fan of fleabay, but for $8 it's probably well worth it.

Pull down rear of trigger guard. On the left side, under the revolver, at the front, there is a fingernail notch. With the guard pulled down, the left side swings open front to rear. To remove cylinder, open revolver, hold up on the latch, turn cylinder opposite normal direction of rotation, should unscrew.
