Default Trigger for DPMS LR-308
I need to know what kind of trigger I should go with. I just got a new DPMS LR-308 and love the gun...but hate the trigger. The trigger pull is extremly heavy. I have mod'd guns before but have never gotten into any trigger work and was wondering what would be a good brand to go with......

I am looking for something in the 2-2.5 pound range

Any suggestions?

I just bought the same gun and have the same problem - the trigger sucks! I was looking at Chip McCormick triggers and a couple others. The main issue is getting the RIGHT size pins. I haven't measured mine yet, but apparently the pins for the .308 are different diameter than the standard .223 pins.

I have a DPMS SASS in 7.62 and it shoots just fine. I have not really shot it enough to really get it broken in but I have not had any problems. As for the trigger I called DPMS and JP trigger co. and JP recommended some grease for triggers made by a company called RyDol. rydol.com Supposedly this grease, with enough use, penetrates metal and makes the trigger smoother over time. I recommend the large jar and you and your buddies can share it because a little goes a long way. The label NLGI-2 1/2 lb. product 15150

I just replaced the trigger and pins in mine. Used kns non rotating small pins. Fit perfect.

Tried one at the range that the owner had installed a Geiselle trigger in. It was one of the best triggers I've ever felt in an AR. Not cheap at all though.
