Stevens model 107B problems.
M working on a friends model 107 b and the forend was duct taped on. Upon removing the duct tape I found out why. The locking mechanism that secures the wooden forend to the barrel is either off set or defective. I would say offset due to the way that the small tab extends abnormally far from the rear on the forend. I have the schematics and all the parts are there but I'm just not sure if I'm right or wrong. If anyone owns a Stevens model 107b or if anyone knows what I'm talking about, please respond. I just don't want to fix something and find out it was not the issue. I have pictures if anyone wants to see what I'm talking about. Thank you.

It's a Stevens. Have him contact them and send it in.

I called and they told me that because the gun is so old that they would not have any parts or services they could offer me.

Oh wow. I didn't realize it was that old. If you can posts pics it will likely help people to diagnose the issue.

Does the forend "tab" contact the barrel tab at all?
Are the metal parts solidly secure to the wood in the forend?
