Star BM
 

I picked up a Star BM and it's a nice pistol. Question I have is the mags won't fall free...I tried removing the disconnecter bar and that made no difference. I also have 5 different BM mags so it's not the mags either...

Ideas?

Grip screws? Trigger bow? Mag release?

On a 1911, those are the main things. Oh yeah, some mags are made thicker too.

I sold my BM years ago but the first thing I'd check is the grip screws. Remove the grips and see how the mags function...

I concur with what these guys say-try the simplest things 1st. It's entirely possible the grip screws are binding the mag. I'd also look hard at the mag release.
