Default Spring wire sellection for M12 shotty

Have an old model 12 that's missing the firing pin retractor spring. I can't find the part online so I'm just going to make my own. What type of spring wire should I use? Any other helpful info would be appreciated as well. Thanks. I attached an exploded drawing for reference. The part I need is #36.

The Ebay listing IS gunpartscorp. It is $5.90 including shipping.
gunpartscorp always has many gun parts listed on Ebay.
