It Was So Easy To De Rust My Rifle
I don't know alot about guns, but my brother gave me a somewhat rusted .444 last year, and I did go hunting with it,but just recently I bought some liquid blue and decided that I was going to remove all that rust even if I have to reblue it.I started buffing the barrel and reciever with fine steel wool and oiling it good, within just a few minutes, all the metal was black and all the blue was just fine and the gun looked brand new.I can't believe it was that easy. Here is a before and after pick.

I just looked up the serial number on my .444 and found out that it's a 1971.I am surprized because it looks newer than that, all I know is that it was my grandpa's and he sold it to my brother then my brother just gave it to me for free.I love the ammo for this gun,it's expensive but just look at it!Makes that 9mm and .357 magnum look sad.

Looking good! One day I'll add a lever action to my collection. I've been wanting one for years.
