Ok this is not a scale drawing of a schematic i got from Budsgunshop.com on my Girsan MC1911HC and i wanna check if my math is right so i can start looking for some night sights. But i see the angle of the dovetail as being 65 degrees on both sides, and the base width at .346" ..............am i correct on this? And is there anything else i am missing? The depth is from some point i cannot see on the drawing. Also i was told the same metric measurements by Yavuz the parent company of Girsan.

Sorry go off the subject but I was looking into a Girson 1911 but don't know anyone with one what are your thoughts on yours
|
The only way to get the right specs would be to remove the rear sight and take the measurements off of the sight. It did also look like it is 60 degrees not 65. The number was not that clear. Most 1911's have a 60 degree rear sight.

Well this is just a drawing of their print that they sent me. I couldnt find a way to copy it from my phone to hear.

Fat i lllike it, its a solid gun for the price and it shoots better and better the more round i put through it. I have about 200 through it now with the only problem being failure to feed Corbon 200 grain JHP + P ammo. Plus lack of info on how to get ahold of the damn company but I found a way lol.

Sometimes the sights you prefer won't fit the dovetail of the slide. A simple dovetail file from Brownells will allow you to modify the dovetail or the sight for a good fit. I prefer to modify the sight unless the new sights will be a permanent part and you don't foresee ever selling the gun.
Girsan lists some sights but I don't see whether or not they are night sights - http://girsan.com.tr/en/sights perhaps customer service can tell you which sights are and which might be compatible with the existing dovetails. |
Gundoc thanks for the info and yeah i have pulled the rear sites and they are .330" X 65 degree and every source including Yavuz the parent company of Girsan said they are both the same dovetail. But i will contact them cuz the white dot set they have on that site look like what i am wanting. Thanks.
