Default Sights for pardner single shot

I want to mount some kind of red dot on my pardner single shot 20gauge, but I'm clueless if it's possible or how to do it

You might be able to just screw a mount on the barrel but I'm not really sure how thick the metal on the barrel is or you could make some type of sleeve or something that goes around the barrel for the mount but I'm not really sure I'd have to see it in person have measurments and I might be able to draw something up but I wouldn't be able to make it too much work and not enough time.

If it is not already drilled and tapped, a 'smith should be able to do so and allow you to attach a Weaver or Picatinny rail above the barrel's chamber.

Would look something like this:

Check and see if a rifle base will fit. If so, I have one you can have. It will possibly need to be drilled.
