Default Sights out of alignment

The front sight base is not aligned with the rear sight. I have the sight blade drifted almost all the way to the left and still have to go more to zero it. Is the band around the barrel soldered on or is it just sweated on hot and then let cool to hold it in place. Can I heat it to move it or should I just let it bug the he11 out of me. It's a 1903/30 Turk Mauser.
