Its hard to tell what they class as "new" model. You should contact them about it and ask from which year onwards are new models classed as.
In 1996 they redesigned the breach block and slide as well as the grips, and in 1998 they redesigned the trigger bar spring and changed the grips back.
If you put some pictures up I should be able to tell you.

It won't fit
The 1998 tigger bar spring will not fit under the grips of a 1994 model, that is why the changed the grips in 1998 also.
