Default Second opinion on Mauser glass bedding

I need a second opinion on restocking my VZ 24 Mauser chambered for 6mm Remington. It’s been suggested that when bedding the recoil lug I inlet and epoxy a cross bolt, just a 1 ¼ “ section of a ¼” bolt in the middle of the stock recoil block to make it much stronger. Any opinion on this would be helpful.

In my opinion, installing a cross bolt in your 6mm Mauser would be a waste of time. The 6mm don't recoil nowhere near enough to where a cross bolt would be needed. Just do a good job of glass/pillar bedding and don't worry about it. A quality glass bedding job will eliminate all play in the action/stock-thus the lack of need for a cross bolt.
