Looks good, but we need details man, details.

Default model 99

Your rifle is a beauty and is very desirable to Savage collectors. What serial # range is it in ?

Because I am just applying for my FFL after 12 years of working on firearms I never took serial numbers. This was my client's great grand father's new Model 99 in .300 Savage back in the 30's. It was in good shape except for dry wood and dirty action from old oil and some spot bluing had to be done.

p.s. I have fund many people want to buy and sell guns but not work on them, that's my niche, refurbishing older firearms, from flint locks, cap and ball to WW2 rifles and pistols down to newer shotguns, rifles and pistols that need a little TLC and some repairs.

I also worked on older guns until I retired from G.M. in the 90's. I did stock refinishing that led to learning to hot-blue them. I would only do one job at a time which might take a few weeks but it was very enjoyable to take someone's old clunker and hand it back to them fully restored. I hope you enjoy this work as much as I did.

Jeepfxr, I sure do, I think we are a small group as money is not the real motivator cause if we were paid by the hour we would go broke,
