Savage 12Ga. magazine conversion?
I'm looking for advice on how to convert a tube fed semi auto shotgun to use cheap, readily available Saiga magazines.
The base is a Savage 755A, I have no qualms about doing extensive, irreversible modifications to it, and if it turns out useless, I'm only out fifty bucks and time. It's already missing a cartridge stop in the reciever. I'm sure the loading ramp has to go, or at least be cut down to clear the magazine. I believe the stop in the bolt will have to be removed, the bolt welded up, and ground down smooth like any other semi auto bolt I've ever seen. I expect to have to fabricate a latch to hold and release the magazine
Anyone here done this, or anything like it?
