Default savage 110 Bolt question

I just bought a bolt assembly for my savage 100 30-06 and it works fine is there away to adjust the bolt handle so it goes futher down in the slot of the rifle.Thanks

Is your headspace correct? Will the bolt close with out the HS gauge in battery?
