Hi all
I've been working on my sr556 allot lately and was considering changing the flash suppressor but when looking at it it's completely round no point where a wrench would work as well as no pins to hold it and I can't see any visible seems ascot where it connects does anyone know how to remove it or thoughts on how?

You are correct the Ruger Flash Hider does not have flats to be removed with the 3/4 Wrench. But there are a couple of ways to remove it. First you need to put the Barrel into a Padded Vise Or the Upper in a Receiver Vise Block.
First method is a Strap Wrench, or by using a T-60 Hex Wrench, or a large flat screwdriver 10-12" that the tip of the screwdriver fits "completely" through the Flash hider ports or a flat piece of steel and turn it off. They are not pinned and brazed! Just a reminder! Looking at the front of the barrel twist it off in a counterclockwise direction. Be sure it is not loaded!!! LOL!

Hey thanks I would've never thought of going about it that way now the question of the day is I'm obviously changing it in preparation from a suppressor later down the road should I get one that has the teeth at the base or a different variation such as threads or remove it before use type scenario ?

if your going to be removing your flash suppressor on a regular basis your going to want to get a peel washer instead of a crush washer. crush washers are one time use meant to be discarded if the hider is removed. peel washers have very thin layers that you peel off to get the correct hider orientation. they are re-usable but take a lot of time to initially get the correct spacing.
