I need to know what the screw size is for the adj. screw that goes into the gas block on my Ruger 44 carbine. Mine was cross-threaded at some point maybe even came from factory that way. Asked Ruger, they don't seem to know but I have to rethread the hole and get a new screw.

This may show the screw you re looking for. If the one here is yours, get it, read the size from the screw with a pitch guage, retap.

I still need to know scew size so i can the a tap and clean up the threads in the gas block itself.

I've got a .44 carbine but don't have a clue what size/thread the screw is. I'll tear it down and check for you when I feel better.

Thanks Stalkingbear. I found out they are IIRC 40TPI still not sure of diameter.
