I got a replacement firing pin block. Trying to reassemble, I cannot get the parts to slide into position. The retainer pin area does not seem to fit to allow reassembly. Any ideas?

I really don't want to admit it, but my old-timer's kicked in.

First rule of working with any metal (especially firearms), Get the old dirt out! Pieces seem to fit better then.
