Hello, I'm new to this site and forum and I'm not that knowledgeable about guns so I hope you all can help me on these question, I honestly didn't know where to go.

Anyway, I need some help regarding Glock 18's and some other guns for a project I'm working on, which is a comic and/or graphic novel. In the story, the Main Character uses dual Glock 18's that he modified himself to be more accurate, powerful, and shoot .22 bullets instead of .45's. Anyway I would really like some help from this forum on knowing if that is possible, and how it can be done. Is there anyone in this forum who can address these questions?

I also would like to know if it is possible to shoot an arrow out of a bolt-action-rifle? And if there is, how would it be done?

Sorry...you lost me at making a gun more powerful by converting from .45ACP to .22lr?

It can be done, many manufacturers sell conversion kits to do just that...lets you practice with the actual gun but shoot cheaper .22 ammo.

You can shoot a dart/arrow from a rifle...Israel has a door breaching system that is basically a dart that fits over the barrel of an M16/M4...see no reason why a bolt action rifle couldn't be used.

Heck---he lost me with the .45 G18. The Glock 18 is a 9mm.

The arrow out of a rifle thing---yes. Do a google for "line throwing gun".

Out of a regular bolt action rifle? Maybe. With the right powder, and the right arrow---it could be done. Heck,
there have been enough ramrods launched out of muzzle loaders over the years to prove the concept! Probably
not too accurate, unless you can figure out how to deal with the fletching.

Arrow from a bolt rifle? Blank 308 ammo may have enough to project a flacette.

Isn't the Glock 18 a full auto version of the Glock 17? Again, 9mm.

Arrow from a firearm is called a harpoon gun.
Glock 18, no fully transferrable examples in the US, 9mm, select fire, 33 round mags, great way to waste ammo fast.
JP, that's a heavily converted Martini Henry single shot to a movie gun configuration.
TX Wolf, a regular 18 is rare enough to be interesting, but full auto pistols are kinda hard to control. IF you insist on that, look up the Zahal Glock shoulder stock attachment, pretend it can go on and off with a snap, forget its use without properly registering the sidearm as a Short Barrel Rifle through NFA '34 is illegal in the US, as well as mere possession of the gun, if that's where your story is. Go with that, slightly more believable.

I'm going to do you a huge favor and give you some good advice.

Don't take what you see in the movies or read in books that's firearm related seriously. It's a huge joke and terribly inaccurate.

Ask this question at a gun store and the dude behind the counter will most likely:

A: Wet his pants laughing
B: Throw up in his mouth a little bit
C: Roll his eyes and tell you you have absolutely NO business owning a firearm (vein popping out of his forehead)
D: Ask you to leave
E: All the above.

Did you not read It is for a comic/graphic novel he is writing. Nowhere does he state he wants to actually do this really.

Eitherway, i'm still a bit confused considering he got the caliber wrong in the first place.

People thats why he's here asking all the questions so he can learn the answer's he wants so he doesnt sound like an idiot. So lets pretend hes intrested in shooting as a sport and educate him so he will learn and maybe learn to respect firearms


That being said i would suggest you change your weapon choice to the correct caliber of glock 18 is a 9mm if you want a glock in 45 acp 21,30,36. If your turning the gun from a 45 acp to a 22lr then you would have to buy a after market conversion kit which are avaliable. but it would not make the gun stronger it makes the gun conciderably less deadly.Here a couple of pictures of g 18 decked out airsoft makes them look real nice

My bad, I DID read that part and then saw converting .45 to .22 to make it more powerful and accurate and my brain went to hell in a handbasket.
