Default PPK/S hammer problem

My normally reliable old Interarms PPK/S has developed an issue recently: The hammer occasionally (every 4 or 5 rounds maybe) wants to follow the slide home and into the DA mode rather than staying cocked in SA mode for the next shot. It's clean as a whistle and am using same ammo as always...any ideas?

It sounds like the sear or SA sear notch on the hammer is worn to me. I'd suggest you take it to the local smith so he can determine which 1 it is & replace it. Don't worry it's an easy fix.
Sometimes you earthlings REALLY amaze me!
