Default pin loose on 9422

Hi I have a 9422 and pin that hold the reciever and barrel together is loose. Except for hammering any suggestion on how to tighten the pin.

I cannot get a clear picture of the schematic.

Is it a "roll pin" or solid?

Sometimes a roll pin could work. I would look at the local hardware store (not a home improvement store) and see if they have one. If it needs to be solid, they may be able to help with that, too.

Any pics you could provide?

Replace pin. Any other suggestion will involve hammering.

The pin is smaller on one end. I can only go in one way. I figure that was pressure fitted. Im going to find a shop that has a press.
Now that I have the rifle apart I am giving everything a good cleaning, removing rust and doing touchup rebluing etc. This .22 is used for hunting alot. I have other .22 but alway pick this one to hunt small game with.

Whether they have a press or not, they will use a hammer(it is how it is done 99.9% of the time).

Use masking tape and a good punch.

From the description in the OP, I was guessing he was referring to part number 249.
