Default Nickel-plating an old shotgun
I've heard that a company called Ropar gives good results. Any feedback? Any other suggestions?

I'm thinking "Robar" is the company. NP3 and Roguard are their flagship finishes but they offer electroless nickel as well as some others.

At around $250 to start, it may not be cost effective depending on what the shotgun is and it's current condition.

Robar is top tier. You may find much cheaper places, but you won't find better.
