Default Need help with 187 series mini 14

I'm new to this forum but have been reading lots of threads as a guest on mini 14 upgrades. I am interested in changing out the factory gas port for a smaller diameter one on my 187 series mini 14 ranch rifle. Does any one know where i can get this part? Will I need to replace the gas block screws? What size screws are they? Any help is appreciated as I would really like to stop throwing brass 80yrds and possibly improve accuracy and follow up shots.

MOhunter, you might stop by the new members introduction section and introduce yourself to the membership when you get time. That said, there are only two sources that I am aware of at this point for Mini-14 gas port bushings, myself and Gundoc. They come in a set of three sizes so you can tune your rifle. You can contact Gundoc at www.greatwestgunsmithing.com or myself via PM.
You will not need to replace your gas block screws if you take care in removing them.
