Default need a gunsmith

Hi All....I looking to get a trigger job for my Ruger GP100......I live in the Chicago Metro area.....Is there a gunsmith someone can recommend

Jim,

You are not too far away! One of the best gunsmiths up your way is Vern Trester in Centerville, IN. I believe you can find him on the Internet. The guy is a expert on all weapons. I believe the spelling is the correct spelling of his last name? If you can get him to do it I am sure you would be pleased.

I'd recommend you ask the gunsmith to install a Wolff spring kit in it when he does your action tune. It's not included unless you ask. The spring kit will help reduce the DA pull by 30% easily and maybe a bit more.

Thanks guys Centerville isn`t to far I`m guessing 200 mi. Trester does have a internet site, I`ll see what he has to say.....I just ordered a set of Wolff springs for the GP. I`m going to install them and see if it`s good enough for target shooting, I have some doubt....thats why I may need a gunsmith...Jim
