Default Need a good smith for...

Some real rifles. 1st off, My k98 sniper is at a Smith that now has some serious health issues. He may not be able to do the job correctly. Second job is a hunter, a 1943 Husqvarna M38 that is completely miss matched and I would like to build a 6.5x55 hunter out of it for my middle son. Any suggestions?

jpattersonnh- I am near your neck of the woods and am looking for some work on three 98's. Couldn't find anyone local so I threw it out to StalkingBear but he's too busy elk hunting.

I'd like to know if there's anyone in the NH/VT area also...

I'll wait and see what I hear from the Smith my K98 is at and let you know. He came highly recommended, but again he has fallen ill. He is in Pa. No one in NH, VT, ME.

Keep us updated if your smith can or can't do it and I'll refer you to someone I know will do a good job for you. When I fully retired I turned my FFL back in. I seriously doubt I'll get it back the way my health is.

BH, those are great if you want a bench rest or Palma rifle. I did talk to Warner however. He had no idea where to start as they custom build rifles.
