Mounting Ghost Ring Sights Rem 870

Greetings,

Refurbishing my 870 and would like to mount a set of Ghost Ring sights. Not sure how to afix them to the barrel and reciever.

Soldering is a bit out of my capability, any ideas or suggestions. I also plan on refinishing with oven cure gun coat with moly. Should I mount them first or wait till the whole gun is coated then mount them?

Thanks in advance.

Wow 45 views and no replys....awesome! Appearantly the intalling sights mystery will remain so...

Relax Texan. It's quite possible that someone who's done it just hasn't come across this thread yet.

I installed Ghostrings on my Mossberg, so this thread just happened to catch my eye.

Is your receiver tapped in any way?

Nice P51, Tex.

If you have a new, Police model it should have a drilled and tapped receiver. But the front sight is another story. Do you have the ramped front sight, or a bead?

Go to Brownells and check out their selection of ghost rings.

Better yet, send the 870 away to Vang and have it done. Have the forcing cone removed at the same time. Thank me later.
