I bought a mossberg 102 plinkster, it is fairly accurate and fun to shoot. I was wondering if anyone else had trouble with the trigger pressure. It seems to me that you have to stand on that thing and sometimes wait a second for it to release the firing pin. Does anyone know if this is normal?

Never owned a Mossberg, but that doesn't sound right whatever the rifle!

I'd start with giving the trigger mechanism a good clean and some light lubrication. Could be that the firing pin should be looked at too, "Stalkingbear" or one of the other gunsmiths on FTF should be able to give you better advice than me.

Ah, just seen the 802 plinkster is a 22 LR...I know nothing about rimfire rifles!

It sounds typical of them to need a trigger job. Just take it to your local gunsmith and tell him to do a trigger tune to it. They're not that hard to do,I've done a couple of them.
