Mossberg 835 Trigger Job Help
I would like to do a trigger job on my turkey gun - a Mossberg 835. I'm a machinist and very mechanically inclined so I would like to do it myself. Also I can't justify paying a gunsmith $100 to do this on a $350 gun. I've tried looking for information online with little luck. Is there anyone on here who could share some info and help me figure out how to do it myself? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you just wanting to reduce pull weight? If so it's pretty simple to reduce the amount of hammer/sear engagement and LIGHTLY polish the surface of the notch on the hammer. DON'T change the angle or take too much off the hammer. Remember to go slow and reassemble and test if you have to. To install adjustable overtravel stop is a little more involved.

polish, polish, polish! then polish some more Don't take any metal off. the trigger on these guns are only slightly smoother than a dry corncob so polishing them gives a wonderful improvement! you should not go any lighter just smoother:D
