Your not going to hurt the rifle, so just give the bolt a nice firm whack with your palm. Mine tends to tighten up on me when it get pretty hot. A good firm whack solves that problem.

I followed the advice given by other members along with the video posted on youtube and cleaned the chamber with a 20 ga brush coated with JB bore cleaner using a drill and cleaning rod. Then followed that up with a 12 ga mop. I also polished the firing pin using 600 grit sandpaper. After cleaning everything up...the gun shoots and ejects the shells as smooth as silk. Thanks for everyones help !!!

The firing pin spring would have nothing to do with the described problem.

Most likely, in order are: dirty chamber, dirty chamber and dirty chamber. There are other rare instances of burs or other problems but removal of 60 years of dried comsmoline, varnish, and who knows what else usually fixes the problem.
