Default marlin sixty

so im sure you all know about my new .22 so heres the question. has anyone had exprience with boyds stocks? im thinking i would like to get one but just wanted to see opinions. im looking at the rvt thumbhole in either camo, jacarda or the light brown.
so any tips does it fit well for the most part? also it looks like in the photo they have listed there is a bolt notch. however on completed builds ive looked at i dont see it. could it just be the website standard photo or worked out during fitting?

I have been a silent witness
to all of America's finest hours.
But my finest hour comes
when I am torn into strips and used as bandages
for my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I fly at half-mast to honor my soldiers,
Or when I lie in the trembling arms
of a grieving mother
at the graveside of her fallen son.
