Default Marlin/Glenfield Model 60 missing front sight

I have finally recovered a Marlin model 60 .22 plinker that one of my nephews "borrowed" from me while i was living in Memphis and keeping some stuff at my parents' home, lesson learned (gunsafe is worth the hassle).

The lil rifle looks to have had a rough time of it, with several nicks to the stock and a MISSING FRONT SIGHT. I are seriously displeased and am saving an extra special arse kicking for my nephews when i figure out which one "borrowed" the lil rifle.

Marlin Gun Parts, Marlin Factrory Gun Parts.Marlin Lever Action gun Parts, Marlin 22 Automatic Parts, Marlin Bolt Action 22 Parts, Marlin Gun Stocks, Marlin Walnut Gun Stocks, Marlin Rifle Sights, Marlin Sight Hoods, Marlin Screws, Marlin Firearms Pa This place seems to have OEM replacements for about $35 if i am interpreting this list correctly:
"Front Sight Ramp............................$15
Front Sight Built on The Ramp.......$18
Front Ramp Screw Each..................$ 2"

However, i can purchase a set of tech sights for about $70.
Tech-SIGHTS Precision Shooting Accessories I have these on my SKS and like them.

What would you choose? The difference in price won't break me.

Since you have the money, I'd go with the better Tech sights. You'll be happier in the long run and the Tech sights may even help you shoot better.

Id send you mine for $20. Bbl is threaded now. So i dont need it.

NO need to spend $35.

(well crap) I realize I have the adjustable rear, and the fixed front, but no front screw......I think it was cannibalized for my brothers M60....

I could make a list of a bunch of guns i have, or "have", or wish I had. Why would one feel compelled to provide that infornation freely? Do you feel the need to show off? Is it some immature game of oneupsmanship?

Why do you feel it necessary to list your guns?

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Ah well, thanks anyways WA. Mine just has a lil hole, nothing left at all.

I think i will go with the tech sights; i like them on the SKS. It's not like the lil Marlin is collectable or anything, no real need to keep it original.
