Default Marlin 50 12ga. variable choke

Is my Marlin shotguns variable choke machined on as part of the barrel or is it pressed onto the barrel?

Default the choke should come off, correct?

So if i apply dry ice concentrated to the barrel near the choke, and heat the choke with map gas the choke should come off, correct?

I don't know about the dry ice but you might get it hot enough with the map gas to get it off. If you try it have the collar off to keep the mass to a minimum. Most likely it is a tight fit so don't think it will fall off without twisting/pulling after it melts the solder.
