Default Marlin 39a

I've got a old Marlin 39a it didn't seem to be functioning properly so I started to disassemble the gun and discovered this part was snapped. I not sure of the name of the part and all the schematics that I can find on this model don't illistrate this part. If anyone could help me in identifing this part and maybe where to purchase it, that would be great.

I'll guess and say it's either a cartridge stop or cartridge cut-off.
