Default Marlin 30AW

I need to replace a damaged front sight on a Marlin 30AW. It's dovetailed into the barrel with no ramp and no hood. Has anyone seen or heard of a replacement hooded sight for this rifle, like the model 336 has.

You could put a ramp on but then you would have to change the rear sight to a higher one to match the higher front sight. Nothing wrong with one dovetailed in the barrel unless you just want a different look.

I would recommend you replace it with another dovetailed sight. You can get them at Numrich Gun Parts Corporation

Thanks for the Info. I was only thinking a hood would protect the new sight from getting banged up again.
