Default magazine drops after first shot

My Sig 220-22LR magazine drops about 3/16th of an inch after the first shot. The gun was recently purchased and is like new. Made in 2005.I switched ammo from Remington to CCI with no change. Both were 1050fsp, standard velocity. What may have caused this and what is the fix.The gun was clean and lubricated.I now have the grips off and liberally applied brake free for a good soak.Plan on trying again tomorrow.

My Star is doing the same thing, a shop suggested a new mag, another suggested the mag release is damaged, thank goodness for my P-38. Let me know how you fix the problem.

It's hard to say without actually looking at it. How are you holding it? could you possibly be hitting the mag release by accident? If you're not then it sounds like the mag release or the spring needs replacing.

Bear,

It looks like you got the big one. Now all you have to do is butcher and freeze all that meat. I am proud for you.
