M&P Magazine Disconnect - GONE!
1 Attachment(s)
There was a thread around a while ago about removing the magazine disconnect from a handgun, specifically an M&P. Well I finally got around to it tonight. It was super easy, as expected. The hardest part was finding a suitable replacement spring to keep the sear disconnect in place. I ended up sacrificing an old Zebra pen to get the best, free, quality spring I could.
Initial dry firing results - the trigger is noticeably smoother, but not a lot. I am anxious to take it to the range soon. I would recommend this simple fix to you guys who have an M&P or other handgun with a mag disconnect. Note: The old spring that was providing the pressure on the mag disconnect did the old "I'm going to disappear in less than a blink of an eye and make a tiny sound on the other side of the room when I hit something, only I will never be found again until I get impaled on the bottom of your foot" trick. W/E, I don't need it anymore. |
Didn't we learn anything from our AR build and flying springs?
