I have been working for 2 hours trying to get a Luger recoil spring back in, there has to be a trick to it, any of you guys up to the task?

Thanks, I finally got the spring in and the Luger running. I think part of my problem was someone had put an overly long spring in it. I took off 3 coils and the pistol did not improve, so I decided to find out how many coils the spring should have. The answers I found were 17 and 19, after taking the 3 coils off, I still had 22. I took it down to 19 and the Luger runs like a sewing machine. I bet he had a good time getting that spring in the first time.
