Before you even go to Lowe's, look at that workbench online, and especially look at the negative reviews. By those reviewers' descriptions and complaints, don't think it would stand up to the term "rugged", or a loading press.

I usually do look at the reviews before purchasing anything. I had just seen that at Lowes the other night and was thinking about it.
Thanks for the heads up on this as it will not be put into the budget.

A few 2x4s and a 3/4" plywood top can make a really sturdy bench. I had one in a garage that folded down from the wall. Just have to make sure all the support points are into studs.
