Default Looking for a local gunsmith reccomendation

A family friend recently showed me his Parker brothers double barrel 12 gauge and it definatly needs refinishing, does anyone know of a good gunsmith to go to in the Gainesville or Orlando Florida area, I have recently moved here and while have found several online I was seeing if anyone had used any in this area before

I would not advise a refinish job unless done by the factory.
The value of those guns as is is better without refinishing.

What he said up there ^^^. In the event that it DOES need a refinish, you should be aware that older double barreled guns should not be reblued with hot blue. The caustic solution will attack the solder that holds the two barrels together.

These are done with rust bluing- not a difficult process, but time consuming- and not all smiths do it.

Ok I know leaving them as is generally the best option but he couldn't even get it to break open which I took as a sign it could use some tlc and I know that would be a job for a pro.... Thanks for the tip on blueing though!

Restoring a gun to proper working order ain't refinishing. You threw us off a bit there.

Leave that gun alone! It is very valuable as is. If you find a gunsmith that will work on it he is a fu#&ing moron. DON'T TOUCH THE GUN!!!
clean it carefully with some gun oil and call it a day.
