Hey all,

I got my marlin 30/30 model 30(glenfield) trigger to work now i have a different problem with it, the lever will not lock into the receiver i dont know why but getting very frustrated with it and hunting season is just around the corner. If anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them due to the upcoming hunting season

Thanks,

Some pictures might help the guys here. Lever guns are not my specialty brother, sorry about that. I would hate to suggest something completely out in left field if I am not comfortable with my own knowledge of the product.

We have several good old timers here who are probably more than familiar with your particular model though.

Best of luck with the fix & the hunt...

Been a long time since I had a Lever gun so this is just a guess it sounds like you or someone field stripped it and have the lever and bolt slightly out of sinc .

I would remove the bolt and make sure the lever is fully foreward like it is suppose to be when the bolt is all the way back and then reinstall it correctly and not too far in without letting the lever move and see what happens .

Just a guess , if it doesn't work better get it to a Smith Fast if you hope to use it for deer season .

DefaultModel 30 Glenfield

I have this model and in order to mate the lever to the bolt the bolt must be inserted and the bolt face kept in the center of the ejection port. Then insert the lever into that groove in the bolt and fasten the lever screw. Make sure the ejector is positioned properly in the left side of the reciever before inserting the bolt or it might not cycle or lock up.
