I inherited a S&W 559 9mm a few years back and I'm just now wanting to learn about it. I would like to learn how to field strip this pistol for cleaning purposes and I am struggling. I take the clip out, pull the slide back and I can't get the slide stop to pop out. I've heard that the 559 is notorious for this problem. Any advice?
