Default Installed Free Float Handguard

Installed free float tube and low profile gas block on my 5.56 carbine yesterday. What would be a simple, effective method to "finish" the rings on the barrel left by removal of the A2 sight block?

What is the finish on the rest of your barrel? We'll need to know that so that you can match the rest of the finish.

You can try a home parking kit on it if you're up to it. Otherwise just use cold blue on it or mask the rest off & use a spray baked on finish on it.

I had the cold blue in mind, since most of it will be covered by the gas block.

Thanks for the reply.
