It would appear so from the look of the seams some grafting has taken place. Not uncommon on wartime production. By the looks of the wear and the finish the repairs were done early in the weapons life, maybe even as part of the original stock. Doesn't appear to be in a particularly stressed area, as long as the receiver seats properly and there is no risk of the butt end causing physical harm you should be ok.
