Default H & R 949 not working.

Hi. Looking for advise on fixing this old H & R 949. I made a replacement part to replace the plastic main spring support that broke. Looks like it has another issue. You have to pull the hammer back a bit to get the trigger to reset. Any ideas how to fix this? Video attached.

Thanks!

Kevin

Welcome to the forum! Stop by our "Introductions" area and say "Hi".

For some reason, I could not view the video.

It sounds like you have some other parts worn and may need replacement. It could be the hammer. Not knowing your experience level, I would suggest that you get with a local gunsmith.

It could have a varnish/gunked/seized sear spring may not be pressing hard enough.
