Hey guys I'm thinking of getting into the business of gun smithing, and I was wondering if any of you guys would now a where a good gun smithing school is. I'm also interested in selling not only regular firearms but also nfa items.

There was a thread on this just the other day...there is a website listed somewhere in it that had a list of the top and comments people made on different schools...one day my plan is to attend one of these and open up a range/shop..until then ill keep dreaming

From what I've heard, don't do an online school, and well I did and was not that happy, got the books and info but no help or hands on, I have plenty of firearms to practice normal things on, guess that will be my hands on.
Good luck finding a school there are few out there hands on in the class room ones.
Penfoster in which I did the online schooling was ok if you had hands on already, but beside that the material was handy and will come in handy as well. Instructor is probably in the know on a lot but never seem to reach him with even the few small question I had. Have heard from others that had no probs at all with pen though. If you are brand new to the firearms world don't do the Penfoster course you will get lost in terminology and nomenclature of firearms.
