Guns & Dremels
On one of the local GA gun forums there's a lot of drama happening regarding an XDm that was "tweaked" then traded. It appears the original owner took a dremel to it to "polish" the fire control group parts and basically made the gun unsafe. He then traded it off without disclosing the "gunsmithing" that was done. Folks, a simple rule is a dremel does not belong in the same room as ANY firearm. Word to the wise folks, look for signs of home "repair" or "upgrades" when you are considering a gun purchase...

I wouldn`t put that down for everything.

It always depends, if you know what you are doing, or not. If not, don`t do it!

I don`t see any major problem on using a Dremel on non critical parts. I for instance used mine to do the fional job when grinding my trigger. But that was the trigger itself, not the mechanism inside.
Works pretty good.

I use a dremil to hog out the wood on stocks I'm going to piller bed and glass bed, polishing flat springs using a cotton bob and polishing compound. I never use on on critical peices like a sear or hammer, those I stone.

I thought Dremels were invented by real gunsmiths as a job security measure.

I've seen a LOT of guns screwed up by idiots with Dremels. If a person has to ask about using a Dremel on something, he has NO business even picking up the Dremel. Having said that, I used to completely wear out 3-4 Dremels a year before I retired.

go together like dogs and kennels....
if you must remove that nuuuuumberrrrrr.....
dont use one without the.... otherrrrr.
(We all know this is a joke not a recommendation, just a limerick modification for humor, sing to your hearts desire, just dont ever do something stupid like putting a dremel to anything engraved on a gun part.)
